Trevor’s journey to becoming an associate started a few years ago when he was assigned to work at DI as part of a service mission. He loved the opportunity to help people and appreciated the chance to learn—however, he had no intentions of coming back to DI.
“After my mission, I wanted to do something new,” Trevor recalls. “But [those at DI] were like, ‘Come work here! Come work here!’”
The persuasions worked, and Trevor decided to return, this time as an associate. He is now focused on goals like getting his driver’s license and learning workplace skills from his job coach.
When asked the best thing about working at DI, Trevor did not hesitate in his response.
“New friends.”
As for future employment, Trevor is not sure what direction he wants to take. He enjoys singing, acting, and teaching, and hopes that he might have a career in one of those areas. But if not, Trevor is confident that everything will work out in the end.
