For Sam, employment at DI is an opportunity to learn important skills at the onset of adult life. He has now worked at DI for more than two years, which has prepared him for future goals, including finishing high school, serving a church mission, and going to college.
When asked about what this experience has taught him, Sam highlights a few key outcomes: “Waking up early, having responsibility, helping others, talking to and getting to know people.”
Among his favorite parts of the job are meeting new people and making new friends. “It’s a good, fun work environment,” Sam says. “I have met a lot of interesting people and seen a lot of interesting donations come in.”
To any who are coming into the job or who are considering employment at DI, Sam says, “You’re probably really gonna like working here.”
