"I have been able to fly here, and I never even thought to flap my wings before in my life," says Kimberly, reflecting on her experiences as an associate at Deseret Industries.

 

Kimberly's road to Deseret Industries was tough. Throughout her life, she has struggled to handle medical troubles and family members with addictions. Then, she unexpectedly found herself out of work after losing a job she'd had for eight years. Kimberly was working temp jobs that never seemed to pan out, so her bishop suggested she go to Deseret Industries.

 

At Deseret Industries, Kimberly's self-confidence has grown and she's been taking college courses. Her hope is to one day work in a hospital or for a nonprofit organization.

 

 "I’m still learning, I’m still growing, but it’s been the greatest thing that has happened to me," Kimberly says.
