Over her life, Eve has held many different jobs—she’s worked as an accountant, a librarian, and a salesperson. "It's been a varied life," explains Eve.

 

It all started when Eve joined the Navy when she was 17. She spent four years with the Navy, and that’s where she met her husband. After getting married, Eve and her husband moved to Utah and eventually started a landscaping business.

 

However, Eve recently was put on six months of bed rest, and while she was recovering, the family business lost steam. 

 

When Eve was ready to return to work, she came to Deseret Industries for help. Her goal is to support her family and get their business back on its feet. At Deseret Industries, Eve is working to get her driver’s license, and she’s also taking some online accounting and computer classes.

 

“Working here has made me appreciate hard work. It’s helped me know how to work with different kinds of people, “Eve says.
