Meet Ronda: Associate Profile

Ten years ago, Ronda hurt her hip—an injury that impacted her ability to remain in the workforce and crippled her confidence. Now, she is heading back to work in her chosen field once again, thanks primarily to the three years she recently spent as an associate at DI.

“I needed to get back [to work],” Ronda says. “My dad pushed me to come to DI and start working—to start out fresh, to start out clean."

That decision proved to have a huge impact, allowing her to brush up on talents and develop the skills needed to obtain another job in her field. Perhaps even more significantly, DI gave Ronda access to people and resources that were able to change her trajectory.

“There are people who have helped me throughout my whole time I’ve been here,” she says. “I had no confidence coming into this job, but these co-workers all gave me the confidence that I could accomplish great things outside this facility.”

Ronda also cites the job search skills course offered by DI, which includes resume building and interview techniques, as another key resource that allowed her to reach the next step.

“I love this place,” Ronda says. “It’s a very good training center.”
