Cohen loves to fish, is originally from the Marshall Islands, and hopes to work in a management position one day. He started working at DI after he and his family moved to Utah from California. Cohen had previously worked in a warehouse, but he needed a less physically taxing job after developing gout.

 

At DI, Cohen is taking English and computer classes to help him with his goal of becoming a manager. He is also working to become forklift certified. 

 

“My wife and I were really struggling. We couldn’t get jobs. We had no transportation,” explains Cohen. “[But now] I’m working at DI, and my wife got another job. So I think we’re getting better.”
