For Amy, Deseret Industries has been a place for personal change as well as professional. “They helped me quit smoking here,” Amy explains. “They’re supportive. We’re like a real family here. We encourage each other and want the best for each other.”

 

Amy's first step at DI was to get her GED. Through Deseret Industries, Amy was tutored in math and successfully graduated from high school. She’s now working toward becoming a CNA.

 

Since arriving at DI, Amy has also been promoted to lead associate, which means that she directs a team of other associates as they work. Being a lead has helped Amy see her own strengths and develop new skills.
