Because I lacked essential training or education, I couldn’t improve my employment situation. I needed to do more than just exist. A referral from a caring bishop to receive training at the Deseret Industries gave me the much needed opportunity I longed for.
Deseret Industries not only offered me help in finding a new career but hope for the future. My job coaches and development counselor were positive and encouraging. They helped me search for a technical training program that would be the best fit for me and my family. Repeatedly, they proved to me that there are people who care and are willing to help. I also learned that you have to do more than stand around waiting for something to happen.
I am humbled by those who worked in my behalf to make life for my family and me better. With their help, I enrolled in a CDL training program funded in part by Deseret Industries. The result is a new job in a career with promise.
Because of Deseret Industries, the steps are in place for a good future as I work hard and do my part. I’m happier and more positive. I’m thankful for the blessings that the Lord has given me by being at Deseret Industries.
“The steps are in place for a good future as I work hard and do my part.”
