I was at a pretty low time of my life when I went to my bishop for advice. He suggested that I join the Deseret Industries training program at the LDS Humanitarian Center. From the day I walked through the door, I was surrounded by caring and loving people who were willing to help me in any way possible. This was something I hadn’t experienced in a very long time. They took me in and helped me get started on a life-changing path.
With help from my job coach, mentor, and advisor, I set a plan in motion. I was able to work while I prepared to begin school at the community college to earn my commercial driver’s license. I am now working towards this goal and a secure future.
I am so very appreciative of all the hard work and dedication everyone at the LDS Humanitarian Center provides on a daily basis. I am proud to know that I am associated with an organization that does so much to help others in time of need, not just here, but all around the world. I don’t know where I would be without their help. I thank them so very much―from the bottom of my heart.
